Mitchells and Butlers is one of the UK’s largest operators of restaurants, pubs, and bars, with around 1700 outlets across the nation. Some of their well-known brands include Toby Carvery, All Bar One, Harvester and O’Neill’s.

Founded in 1879 when two Midlands families came together, Mitchells and Butlers have grown to become to leading restaurant and pub company in the UK. From classic pubs to stylish brasseries, M&B have developed a diverse portfolio of restaurants and pubs that you would expect from a company well into its second century.

The Orion Solution

Since 2017, Orion has been providing secure printing services for M&B’s personalised greetings cards, as well as providing a selection of bespoke merchandise for a some of their leading bands.

M&B greetings cards are used to accompany their range of Dining Out Gift Cards, which can be used at any of their pubs, bars and restaurants across the country. Each greetings card can be personalised through M&B’s online portal. Once visitors have selected the value and design of their gift card, they can add a personalised message onto the greetings card to customise their gift.

These personalisation details are sent to Orion’s fulfilment team on a daily basis via secure file. Each personalised message is extracted and then sent to our specialised laser printer, which overprints the message onto the selected greetings card. The fulfilment team arrange for each greetings card and gift card to be despatched via 1^st class post or special delivery.

Since the beginning of 2019, Orion have overprinted and delivered more than 30,000 M&B greetings cards with their customers’ personalised messages.
