Business As Usual – Coronavirus Update

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) COMMUNICATION

We would like to reassure you that Orion are still fully operational and have been granted “critical supplier status”. Currently we are exempt from any shut down regulations and have a full contingent of staff within both our production and office areas.

However, these are challenging times and Orion is taking comprehensive and decisive measures to fulfil our commitments to customers, as well as protect the welfare of our employees during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

To minimise the opportunity for infection we are staggering our shift patterns and separating our teams where practical.  We are adhering to the 2 metre social distancing recommendation and have increased hygiene measures throughout the factory.  We have also introduced home working for all employees where this is possible and practical.

We do have a detailed Business Continuity Plan in the event of further disruption and, operating as part of a group, we have the option of switching production to other manufacturing sites within the group if required. We are closely monitoring the latest government updates and reviewing our contingency plans accordingly.  We are also advising staff, customers and suppliers to stay up to date with the latest information at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public
